OSalmaOS Version8
Summary0000665: repos don't have .155 kernel or the .156 kernel released Aug 18
DescriptionThe alma8 .154 kernel was released on Aug 10, quickly followed by the .155 on Aug 12.

I waited to patch a few machines in the hopes that the .155 kernel would appear, but
it never did. Even as of Aug 17, updates pull only the .154 kernel.

Checking a few mirrors including:

http://www.gtlib.gatech.edu/pub/almalinux/8.10/BaseOS/x86_64/os/Packages/

The .155 kernel is not there.

Today the .156 kernel was released, according to https://errata.almalinux.org.
Usually by the time I see it on the errata page, the mirrors have it, but the mirrors
don't seem to have .156 either.

Anyone know what's doing on?

I'm seeing the same problem, but what is interesting is it seems only the x86_64.rpm files from the build aren't being copied to the repo path, the noarch.rpm files are being copied to the BaseOS/x86_64 path:

src.rpm files are there:
https://vault.almalinux.org/8.10/BaseOS/Source/Packages/kernel-4.18.0-553.155.1.el8_10.src.rpm
https://vault.almalinux.org/8.10/BaseOS/Source/Packages/kernel-4.18.0-553.156.1.el8_10.src.rpm

x86_64, only has the noarch.rpm build files.

4.18.0-553.155.1:
https://repo.almalinux.org/almalinux/8.10/BaseOS/x86_64/os/Packages/kernel-abi-stablelists-4.18.0-553.155.1.el8_10.noarch.rpm
https://repo.almalinux.org/almalinux/8.10/BaseOS/x86_64/os/Packages/kernel-doc-4.18.0-553.155.1.el8_10.noarch.rpm

4.18.0-553.156.1:
https://repo.almalinux.org/almalinux/8.10/BaseOS/x86_64/os/Packages/kernel-abi-stablelists-4.18.0-553.156.1.el8_10.noarch.rpm
https://repo.almalinux.org/almalinux/8.10/BaseOS/x86_64/os/Packages/kernel-doc-4.18.0-553.156.1.el8_10.noarch.rpm

s390x, ppc64le & aarch64 appear to have the architecture rpm build files, here is s390x as an example:
https://repo.almalinux.org/almalinux/8.10/BaseOS/s390x/os/Packages/kernel-4.18.0-553.155.1.el8_10.s390x.rpm
https://repo.almalinux.org/almalinux/8.10/BaseOS/s390x/os/Packages/kernel-4.18.0-553.156.1.el8_10.s390x.rpm

kernel-4.18.0-553.156.1.el8_10 advisory:
https://errata.almalinux.org/8/ALSA-2026-55764.html

build.almalinux.org details for kernel-4.18.0-553.156.1.el8_10 (I can see the x86_64.rpm files under the AlmaLinux-8.x86_64 toggle far right of "Summary")
https://build.almalinux.org/build/76213

ie, https://build.almalinux.org/pulp/content/builds/AlmaLinux-8-x86_64-76213-br/Packages/k/kernel-4.18.0-553.156.1.el8_10.x86_64.rpm

Thanks for pointing that. All pkgs have been released to their repositories.

https://repo.almalinux.org/almalinux/8.10/BaseOS/x86_64/os/Packages/kernel-4.18.0-553.155.1.el8_10.x86_64.rpm

We'll investigate why it happened and try to avoid such issues in the future.
Please let us know if there's anything else.
