Description | In RHEL 9.2, kmod-kvdo-8.2.1.6-75.el9_2.x86_64 is built against kernel-5.14.0-284.3.1.el9_2 and it is weak-linked to 5.14.0-284.11.1. RHEL: $ find /lib/modules -name kvdo.ko /lib/modules/5.14.0-284.11.1.el9_2.x86_64/weak-updates/kmod-kvdo/vdo/kvdo.ko /lib/modules/5.14.0-284.3.1.el9_2.x86_64/extra/kmod-kvdo/vdo/kvdo.ko AlmaLinux: $ find /lib/modules -name kvdo.ko /lib/modules/5.14.0-284.11.1.el9_2.x86_64/extra/kmod-kvdo/vdo/kvdo.ko This of course does not cause any issue in functionality. If you are not look at this level of "binary compatibility", you can ignore this report. | ||||

Hello. I've also noticed that during 9.2 release preparations but actually it's just not possible to build against kernel-5.14.0-284.3.1.el9_2 because Red Hat never released this version: https://git.centos.org/rpms/kernel/commits/c9 So the only option is to build against release version. |
