Summary | 0000373: Unable to boot AlmaLinux with systemd under WSL
Description | It seems that AlmaLinux 8 will not boot using systemd under WSL. Adding: [boot] systemd=true to /etc/wsl.conf and restarting the WSL service does not appear to work. The problem was not observed in AlmaLinux 9 under WSL.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Install WSL and AlmaLinux 8 from the Microsoft Store 2. Edit /etc/wsl.conf and add: [boot] systemd=true 3. Restart WSL 4. Launch AlmaLinux 8 and attempt to start/stop/restart a service using systemctl 5. Receive error that the system was not booted with systemd.
