| Summary | 0000028: AlmaLinux not recognized by virt-manger when installing in Fedora 33 | ||||
| Description | When creating a new AlmaLInux VM under fedora, the O/S is not recognized by default so I used CentOS 8 as the O/S. This may be a Fedora bug (I also reported it there as bug 1932652). | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1. obtain ISO 2. on fedora 33, launch virt-manager and select new virtual machine 3. select Alma ISO The box below "Choose the operating system you are installing" displays "None Detected" | ||||

I've created a merge request to osinfo-db upstream project: https://gitlab.com/libosinfo/osinfo-db/-/merge_requests/285 But it'll take time before update will be available in Fedora or any other OS. Update for AlmaLinux's osinfo-db will be published soon. |
