| Steps To Reproduce | 1. Download DVD1 or Boot ISO 2. Verify SHA256 checksum on ISO 3. Upload to ESXi datastore 4. Select ISO for virtual optical drive 5. Try to boot VM from ISO-fails 100% of the time | ||||
| Additional Information | I’ve used Safari (Mac) & FireFox (Mac/Win) on three different systems (2 Mac & 1 Windows) to download, then upload ISOs. Each time the download/upload process completes successfully. | ||||

Thanks for report. 1) Are you using BIOS or UEFI as a firmware for VM? 2) If UEFI, is Secure Boot enabled? AlmaLinux 8.3 Beta doesn't support Secure Boot. |

AlmaLinux 8.4 beta is out with Secure Boot support. Could you check if it works with VMware ESXi 7.0u1? |

Yes, 8.4 beta ISOs boot on VMware ESXi 7.0u1 with Secure Boot enabled. And, once installed, can boot with Secure Boot enabled as well. |
