Summary0000092: How to use arm .iso files?
DescriptionI have a raspberry pi 4. I've read
https://wiki.almalinux.org/release-notes/8.4-beta-arm.html#providing-feedback-and-getting-help.
There are no instructions on how to use the .iso files. There are instructions
on how to download and verify AlmaLinux-8.4-beta-1-aarch64-minimal.iso, for
example, but no instructions on how to use
AlmaLinux-8.4-beta-1-aarch64-minimal.iso to boot my raspberry pi 4. How do I
proceed? Thanks.

Unfortunately, right now there is no way to install AlmaLinux on Raspberry PI. The same is true for CentOS and RHEL arm ISOs. The main problem is the EL8 kernel which doesn't support all required drivers, there are many small problems too.

But RPi support is something we really want to implement and our ARM team is starting work on that very soon. Probably, it will be a special image with a custom kernel built specially for such devices.

If you have some experience with such things, please join our AltArch SIG and participate in the development. If no, please stay tuned, you will have something to test this summer.
