| Summary | 0000581: Upstream bug report referring to generic/363 or generic/364 | ||||
| Description | Hello all, I am running xfstests on Azure Managed Disks (ext4). The following tests fail or hang: generic/363 → READ BAD DATA mismatch generic/364 → hang during high-offset dedupe generic/303/304 → long delays related to reflink/dedupe I/O The failures occur only on cloud-managed or virtualized disks. On local NVMe disks, these tests pass. My understanding is that these failures are expected on cloud storage due to: non-deterministic I/O ordering write coalescing internal caching delayed allocation virtualization layers between guest and disk Since this is not an ext4 bug, I could not find a specific upstream bug report referring to generic/363 or generic/364. Question: Is there an upstream discussion, mailing list thread, or LKML comment that documents this known behavior? A single reference (even if general) would be helpful. Thanks, Harish | ||||
