Summary | 0000358: postfix service doesn't start on boot while opendkim service is integrated with it
Description | When postfix is integrated with opendkim service, if you reboot the system, postfix service doesn't restart automatically.
Steps To Reproduce | STEP 1: Install packages Postfix and Opendkim. Then configure them according to send signed emails. STEP 2: Now edit the file, /etc/postfix/main.cf and add the following lines, to integrate Opendkim with postfix. # The following configuration will attach DKIM signature for every outgoing mail and will help to make the email more authentic # so receipent server will not treat as SPAM smtpd_milters = inet:127.0.0.1:8891 non_smtpd_milters = $smtpd_milters milter_default_action = accept milter_protocol = 6 STEP 3: Now reboot the server.
Additional Information | Actually postfix relies on opendkim service while postfix is integrated with opendkim for signing the emails. So on system reboot, postfix could not start until opendkim service is on. And opendkim may be taking more time than the postfix service on event.
