| Description | AlmaLinux-8.5-x86_64-minimal.iso The above does not include rsyslog and (less importantly) plymouth RPMs which are listed as mandatory for the 'core' package group. The core group is mandatory for the 'minimal-environment' group, which I would expect the minimal.iso to be able to fully install. I gather this is due to those packages being in the Appstream repo and the minimal iso including only the BaseOS repo. But nonetheless I think rsyslog would be an expected part of any minimal install. Plymouth not as much. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Install from AlmaLinux-8.5-x86_64-minimal.iso After installing, find that rsyslog (and plymouth) are not present in the system. | ||||
| Additional Information | Simply doing dnf install group minimal-environment after the fact will pull in the missing packages but that shouldn't be necessary. | ||||
